- How much tea should I use? Generally about a heaping teaspoon, or 2 grams, per 8 ounce cup. Play around with it to find your perfect cup, it's your tea after all.
- How long should I steep it for? Most teas should steep for at least 2 minutes for a weaker brew, to up to 5 minutes for a strong, robust flavor. Somewhere in between is what I aim for, about 3-4 minutes.
- What temperature should my water be? There's some contention within the tea community on this topic, generally it comes down to personal preference. A good rule of thumb is green tea's sweet spot is between 150 F and 180 F. For black teas go ahead and boil it. Same goes for herbals.
- How long will my tea stay fresh? Your loose leaf tea will stay fresh for up to two years if kept sealed and in a dark space such as your cupboard or drawer.
- Beatles or Stones? The Clash is the only band that matters.
